SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION

Dear Sir/Madam:

Stafford Township Local PBA 297, a non-profit organization, hosts our 11th annual Striped Bass Fishing Tournament in November.  This is our eleventh year hosting this tournament. The proceeds support our Southern Regional High School District’s Scholarship Fund.  To date, this tournament has contributed to raising and awarding over $100,000 in scholarships for the graduating seniors.  As you can see, we have been very successful with our fundraiser, and with your support we hope to exceed this total as the years go by.

This event takes place at St. Mary of the Pines Recreation Center. The night prior to the start of the tournament, there is a Captain’s meeting to give our Captains and their crews the rules of the tournament and a buffet is provided for them.   At the close of the tournament, as our teams come in, the fish are weighed at the site and then our volunteers clean and cook the freshly caught fish.  All of the food, for both days, is freshly prepared by one of our police officer’s, a 4 year graduate of Johnson & Wales University Culinary School, and volunteers.  We have awards for 1st thru 6th place and also give out awards for a junior division and a female division.  We also have a Chinese-auction that is always a popular event with our attendees.  Last year we had 99 boats register and hope that this year more of the community will join us for this fun, family-oriented event.  Even if you don’t fish, come on out!  The public is welcome to attend the dinner and a delightful evening for a nominal $10 fee per person.

Stafford Township Local PBA 297 and the Stafford Township Police Department have always had a strong commitment to our community and our schools.  We hope that you, as a business owner/ manager will join us in our commitment to our community by being generous and donating to this scholarship program.  We are looking for monetary donations (which buys the food and necessary items to feed everyone), food items to help our chefs prepare a fresh and wholesome meal to our fishermen and community, and items that can be used for a Chinese Auction.  The Chinese Auction is a strong part of this fundraiser and any big ticket items (ex: rods, reels, tackle, I pad’s, big screen TV’s, laptops, etc) is gratefully appreciated.  All of these donations are tax deductible, and will be entered in our tournament sponsor book that will be handed to all anglers but, most importantly, this fundraiser benefits our children.  We would like to thank you in advance for your generosity and hope that we see you at our 11th ANNUAL STRIPED BASS FISHING TOURNAMENT.

With Regards,

Stafford Township Striped Bass Committee
